the nobel prize comittee will announce this year's winners next week, starting with medicine on monday and physics on tuesday. i'm not good at guessing or betting on such things but if it were up to me, j. craig venter and francis collins would receive the price for deciphering the human genome. for physics i'd hand the award to anton zeilinger, who has done some amazing work with photons that is almost science fiction and might drive the computer industrie in the next 100 years. i'll leave it up to you to come up with suggestions for chemistry and economics.
