- life has the nature of some aspect of suffering. nothing lasts forever. understand this and be not attached to what you are experiencing.
- the origin of suffering is attachment to desire. desire should be let go of, attaining a state of non-craving should be part of your daily effort.
- suffering can be overcome. although suffering is always present in cyclic existence, we can end being in cyclic existence and enter nirvana, which is a state beyond all suffering.
- the way leading to the cessation of suffering is the noble eightfold path. right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration.
